Fridig February

I'm sitting in my dining room looking out the window at the beautiful snow covered ground. Even though Duluth is freezing (literally), it is amazingly beautiful and I am reminded of God's faithfulness.
Just six months ago, Nick and I, began an adventure that will take us all around the world as missionaries. We believed that God truly wanted us to embark on this journey but we had no idea how it would be possible. We knew that God would have to move some "mountains".
Now that we have less than thirty days before we leave, I am in awe of what God has done to make a way for us to go.
He has provided almost $25,000 in six months and has made it possible for us to rent our house. If that isn't confirmation, I don't know what is.
Thank you to everyone who has faithfully supported us through prayer and finances. Your generosity has been humbling and I feel so very loved.

For to us a child is born

Christmas is a time of great peace and joy but also a time of sacrifice. It is a time of giving and a time of receiving. As I read beautiful scriptures like Isaiah 9:2-7 I am reminded of the greatest gift and the greatest sacrifice that God could ever give to mankind; His son Jesus Christ. For to us a child is born to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders, And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.(v 6)

One of the biggest desires that we all want in our lives is PEACE. Right now I am constantly looking at our budget and have to consistently lay this burden on the governing shoulders of Jesus. Someone once told me, “There is no amount of money that is too large for God and there is no amount too small that we should not depend on Him”. I believe that is true not only with finances but in any situation. It all comes down to trusting in Him.

Jessica and I are realizing that our mission and life isn’t so much about this trip or about all the thousand of people we will reach all over the world. Those things are great! But the true story for all of us is answering these two questions: Will we obey? How much will we trust Him?

We want to invite you on this Journey. We are sacrificing and giving up friends, family, and comfort to obey and trust God. Would you prayfully consider joining with us by trusting God with your financal support this season? Our goal is to be a 50% by Jan 1st. (Anything will grateful)

My God owns the cattle on a thousand hills


After a month of waiting we got our acceptance email! We are in! We are now on our way to becoming YWAMers! The last month was very up and down, not sure if we would even get in, but the door has open and we are walking through it. We are going from believing that this is God's will to trusting Him that He will provide everything we need. The last few days I have been working on our very first newsletter. It is so hard to explain what we are feeling right now. The question that comes to my head is what now? I thought for sure when we got the acceptance letter I would be on the horn calling everyone I could think of, but rather I am facing fear, anxiousness, and stress. There is no turning back. This is it! I heard a cool quote: The man who say it can not be done is usually interrupted by the man doing it. We are going to do it! 25,000 dollars by April...My God owns the cattle on a thousand hills. Psalms 50:10

New Zealand, Here We Come!

Thank you for your continual prayers and support. As many of you already know, we have been seeking God about our future ministry and have been given an opportunity of a life time. God has opened up a door for us to reach hundreds and possibly thousands of people for Jesus through an organization called YWAM (Youth With A Mission).Their mission statement is “To Know God & Make Him Known”.

For a long time our desire has been to begin a ministry where we would train, disciple, and equip young people to minister all over the world. We believe that this endeavor will give us the experience we need to see this dream come alive.

We have been accepted to the Around the World in 80 days training school located in Oxford, New Zealand. During this time we will spend three months in New Zealand training and another three months serving in one of the five regions of the world. After ministering in several different countries we will travel to Israel. There, our graduation will take place on Mount of Olives where Jesus gave the Great Commission!!! (Matthew 28:19) Afterward, we have the opportunity to travel and serve for 9 more months. Our plan is to travel to Sweden, Norway, and Ireland where we have friends pioneering new ministries.

We know this is what God is calling us to do and are taking a step of faith. We are giving up our jobs (pastoring in Duluth for the last 5 years) and selling our possessions. This opportunity starts April 1st and in order for us to do this we will need your help. There is no turning back for us. We must raise $25,000 dollars by April. We are looking for 250 people to give $100 dollars or more to this project. Honestly we need some people to really give generously in order for this to happen. Please consider partnering with us by giving and praying. We can not do this without your support.

We believe this is going be a catalyst to a much larger vision and ministry than neither one of us could ever imagine! Thank you for believing and investing in us.
